Danish Sound and Danish Design Always Seem to Go Together

Why do Danish hifi and Danish design seem to go so well together?

The fact that the modern loudspeaker as we know it was invented by a Danish engineer has probably less to do with it than the fact that there is a great traditional for craftsmanship in furniture.

Achieving more - with less.

The idea that simplicity is the route to quality. Ingenious craftsmanship and fine materials give value beyond their production costs. That elementary shapes and a sense of humour give human relations. All these factors run constantly through both design and sound engineering in Denmark.

Even perhaps the fact that the main sources of great hifi and design in Denmark do not stem from the largest cities, but are grouped in an interwoven web throughout the market towns and communities of the countryside.
